Ich fand gerade zufällig in einem sehr alten Dokument, nämlich hier:

(ICSTIS-Reprt No. 88/March 2002) eine wohlbekannte Firma, die meines Wissens in einem Fall aus 2004 Ermittlungen über sich ergehen lassen muss(te?), der einen "Sendmandialer" betroffen hat...

Members of the public complained about an adult online service that
was operating without having obtained the required prior permission
from ICSTIS. The service did not appear to contain a walled garden and
failed to disconnect automatically at the appropriate times (2.3.1 eighth
edition). While call costs were detailed prior to connection to the
premium rate service, it appeared that visitors to the site would not be fully aware of the cost of the service as the information was given in euros and not pounds sterling (3.4.1 eighth edition). [*grins*]
In addition, the call costs given were not provided in a separate box as
required and company contact/identity details were omitted (3.4.2 and
3.5 eighth edition). Call revenues were requested, together with full
promotional details (5.2.3 eighth edition). [...]
Telequest Kommunikations were fined
£3,000 and instructed to refund all individuals who had contacted ICSTIS about the service.

Das war billig, nicht wahr

In Deutschland gab es da erst im Laufe des Jahres 2002 hier und da Beschwerden [cb-link raus genommen, stehen 'ne Menge e-mails drin. Suche: Telequest] ... u.a. taucht der Name auch bei Heise auf (im September 2002)
und in der Schweiz 2003
